What kind of estate sales are there?
There are generally two types of estate sales: in-home estate sale and online estate sale.
In-home estate sale
In-home estate sales are conducted at the residence and follow the same process:
- Organize and Tag Items. We come to the home and tag, photograph, and catalog all items that are for sale. Anything you want to keep is either stored separately or moved off-site.
- Staging the Home. The home is prepped for auction. This involves staging the house in a way that makes it easy for shoppers to see the items for sale and for us to closely monitor the proceedings.
- Marketing. The estate sale is advertised in multiple places, including social media like Facebook and in our online newsletter.
- The Sale Begins! The sale is conducted in your home. All shoppers are supervised while on premises. Shoppers might be given numbers or asked to line up to control crowds.
- Accounting. All the sale earnings are tallied up and any remaining items are inventoried.
Online estate sale
If you don’t want crowds of people intruding on your home, you can always hold the estate sale auction online. The process differs in a few significant ways:
- Organize and Tag Items. Same thing as in-home. Sale items are cataloged, photographed, and priced.
- List Items Online. All cataloged items are listed on auction/buy-and-sell sites like Live Auction World, eBay, or Facebook Marketplace.
- Pick up Goods. Once the bidding is over and items are sold, we reach out to the winning bidders. We set appointments for them to pick up item at your home. All pickups are supervised and your address is only given out once payment is confirmed.

What kind of items do you sell?
All kinds! It really depends on what is in your home. We’ve sold everything from knick knacks and mementos to valuable antiques. We try to price the items based on their going market value (accounting for the wear and tear of ownership), and will be completely transparent with you on their worth.
How much money will an estate sale earn?
That depends on the contents of your home. Generally speaking, the bigger the property is and the more high ticket items there are (jewelry, appliances, antiques), the higher the payout. Although there have been smaller estate sales that have made quite a bit of money from collectors items and the like.
Are you certified?
Yes, we are a certified Canadian Personal Property Appraiser (CPPA) in good standing and have done over a hundred in-home and online estate sales in Surrey and the rest of Fraser Valley. Just ask any of our satisfied clients!
What do you do with unsold goods?
Some of our clients have donated leftover goods to charity. In these cases, we help pack them up and prep for delivery to the charitable organization of your choice. If you don’t have a preferred charity or don’t want to donate, then we will send them to the landfill for disposal.
